Overview:
This is one of the three ninjutsu systems taught in the Bujinkan. This is an Iga ninja school that concentrated more on the espionage side of ninjutsu, rather than the fighting side. This ryû is reserved for highly skilled members of the Bujinkan. It is thought that the techniques of this school are very similar to Gyokko Ryû.

This school is partially directed towards Cho Ho (spying) rather than combat, but it is known that many forms of Nage Waza (throws) were used. The main characteristics of this school are said to be Sutemi Nage (sacrificing throwing), and the use of Nagenawa (lasso). Gyokushin Ryû Ninpo was founded in the mid 1500s. It is believed that, the founder, Sasaki Goemon, was originally from the Gyokko Ryû or that the techniques of Gyokushin Ryû are based on the Gyokko Ryû.
